    Free Software Suggestions

I would like to recommend the following free wiki-style knowledge base software. I've been using it for a couple weeks now, and it's fantastic for helping me to document and organize all my little tidbits of technical knowledge. http://wikidpad.sourceforge.net/

Gmail helps you migrate from other e-mail services

I like GMail. It's fast, and also they have a great notifier. And you can download your gmail using a POP3 or an IMAP client. I like just about everything Google does. They seem to specialize in fast and efficient.

    A specialized SMTP script?

Thanks bud, exactly the sort of answer I wanted. I don't mind doing the work, if I learn something. This is all a hobby for me. It's the journey, not the destination. For the most part. :) regards.

    A specialized SMTP script?

I am interested in writing a script, so that with one click of a button on a web page, it would send a predefined email to a predefined user. Presumably such a script would work with X10's SMTP server, and I'm pretty sure I should be able to do it with my free hosting account. I don't need a...

    Do you believe in God?

Are you responding to me nightbandit? I'm not sure I understand your point. Are you presenting a counter argument to my post? I'm not trying to make a case against intelligent design, all I'm saying is that the law of entropy doesn't make it highly unlikely that it all started by chance...

    History/Geography Trivia

Hey, sorry for the delay, I forgot I made this thread. The country must be completely surrounded (not controlled, but surrounded) by only one other country, there are only two such countries, and they areboth in the list you have given.

    Do you believe in God?

That true enough, and I would tend to agree. But I think the point is that people who use the entropy argument to make a case for intelligent design or something like that, argue the following... "If you believe in natural evolution, it follows that you must believe that at some point there...

    Do you believe in God?

Different kinds of entropy I believe. Entropy is also a statistical concept which says that a system in which things happen randomly tends towards a state of disorder. This definition is often used (misused) by people who want to argue in favor of a omnipotent creator and against evolution of...

    Do you believe in God?

fguy64 said... I must say I'm not sure I've ever heard someone say they believe in an ompnipotent being who isn't a religious God. datababe then said... Hmmm...I have, and from time to time I think I might number among those who believe as nightbandit describes. ;-) then fguy64 said... well...

    History/Geography Trivia

I suppose this qualifies as a forum game. Someone who answers a question correctly can ask their own question. You can't use Google or Wiki to help answer a question, although you can use it to help devise a question. OK. There are only two countries in the world that are completely contained...

    Do you believe in God?

nightbandit, to me agnostic means you don't really have an opinion. Maybe God exists, maybe He doesn't. In that sense it is the complete antithesis of religion, more so than atheism. IMO. Your explanation of your beliefs doesn't really say whether you are agnostic or not. edit. Actually upon...

    Do you believe in God?

I consider myself to be agnostic, meaning I think there may or may not be a god, but my life is not in the least bit guided by His existence or lack thereof. Now we could talk about those who believe that the earth is approximately 6,000+ years old, and that man shared the earth with...
