Starter is in the same support category as x10 free services. If I'm following you correctly. You would use the control panel "domain pointer" option. Point the external to the x10 free subdomain. Mail and domains should work.

What is the default domain??? The issue with the x10 Nameservers left the account misaligned with existing domains. You can try and disable SSL, and add a dns record in the control panel. That will make all records updated. Then enable SSL and add new Certificate.

It is not an x13 issue. It started for me after the x10 nameservers issue. I could send mail from x10 webmail successfully. Send to the x10 email account would go "550 authentication required". After updating a DNS record it would go "550 No such recipient here". Added a new x10 free domain...
