I plan to buy a laptp. Which is the better one in both economics and in service?

If you want a laptop with XP, you have until June 18 with Dell. After that date, all their computers will have Vista, and you must purchase a downgrade license to get XP.

    Your Opinion on Mini Laptops?

Good if you're on the go.. but I'm never on the go, so desktops are still where it's at! Though if I had the choice of getting one for free, I would probably take the Eee as I've heard many people have done hardware mods to improve it

    Building a New PC

If you're not on a budget I would personally go with Intel. I don't see any compatibility issues just yet, but just make sure you can install everything properly into that case. I've dealt with some odd form factors that were a hassle to work with

What is your favorite online Flash Game

I suggest you look at the top 50 list Newgrounds has. They are primarily shooters and puzzles

    Come fly the Derrie-Air!

Definitely, as my luggage is incredibly light. Not sure how these guys would stay in business if they were to expand from Philadelphia

Stop Power Light Flashing while in Sleep?

You could just turn it off, but oh wait Vista takes forever to boot heh. Is the blinking light part of your power-on button? If not I'm sure you could just disconnect the power to it.

    Download scheduler

Component is correct, uTorrent has a built in scheduler. I don't know of any download scheduling programs either.. you could just wake up, get the downloads going, and get back to sleep (I've done that on a few occasions while downloading PS3 demos)

    ram, processor,or harddisk.

Processor (assuming this choice is free). RAM and HDD's don't cost too much nowadays..

Time Warner's Roadrunner Cable tests metered usage!

Yeah I read this on Arstechnica (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20080603-40gb-for-55-per-month-time-warner-bandwidth-caps-arrive.html) I imagine the only reason Time Warner is testing this in Beaumont is because it just may be the least DSL-accessible, giving new users no alternative...

    Multifunction Monochrome Laser Printers?

Anyone use a B/W multifunction laser printer (including fax function)? I'd like to see some personal opinions/reviews before I go out and purchase one. I'm looking for something in the mid-$200 range or less

    Check out my pc!

I suggest you find the retail value of all your parts, and then subtract more than $100. It won't contribute that much towards a new rig / laptop. I'd personally make use of it with different tasks (i.e. folding proteins or media storage center)

    PS2 vs. PS3

The PS3 is better than a PS2 hands down, much like how a 360 is better than an old Xbox. The problem with the PS3 is that its slow and lacks good games.

    Video compression

WinAVI video converter 8 well let you convert between formats, but if your videos are large there's not much you can do for compression. You could try 7-zip's .7z compression file format, but like I said I don't think you can compress movies too much.

    System Config?

Well if you get 8 GB of RAM for a 64-bit Vista OS.. why have all that RAM if you don't have any 64-bit supported games? Half-Life 2 Lost Coast Bet On Soldier: Blood Sport Codename: Panzers (Phase one) Colin McRae Rally 2005 Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay Far Cry Fahrenheit...

    My Computer

Yeah before I reformatted my mom's laptop, Vista premium would take 700 MB of RAM (this is after going through msconfig and disabling half the startup processes, ending many, MANY, scheduled tasks, and turning Aero off). If Windows 7 is released on time, Vista truly will be another Millennium...
