OK thanks - can you get Office 2007 to run under WINE, does anyone know? This I would need as I use it almost constantly, especially for a mobile laptop to check emails etc I couldnt live without Outlook now. Thanks Alex

The only point it beats it on is that its free, everything else Office 2007 does far better then Open Office in my opinion. Alex

Joomla is the best IMO, just look at my site. As to something thats light, you can customise Joomla nearly down every option, so that could be integrated into a site, but it might take quite a lot of coding, depending what the current site is like. Alex

IE7 although I have tried Firefox 3, and admit it is faster, but it lacks a few features Ive gotten used to in IE, like the open/run feature for installing exe files, which I do a lot. It just seems to make the whole process take longer without that one easy button. Alex

Not all share the RAM, you can get some dedicated graphics cards for laptops (although they make the laptop considerable more expensive). Although I would also guess that the clock speeds are lower to keep the temps down to a managable level. Alex

Thats not true, I migrated to the 64-bit Vista, and it supports everything I own, except a PS2 Eyetoy, which was never even meant for the computer. Also, nearly all the bugs have been ironned out, and mine hasnt crashed once yet, XP had a few crashes. As well as this, Vista recovers so much...

You could get a RAM and Hard drive upgrade for the price of a processor upgrade, so that really says it all. Unless the CPU is useless, get both the RAM and HDD upgrades, after all, both those would be better then a single CPU upgrade. Alex
