I guess your site is in Lotus or Choli. There was an expected downtime for MySQL for these servers. Check here for details. If this is the case, then you just have to wait until they are finished. Also check this thread if it can resolve your issue

The support forum is temporarily closed because of people flooding with support requests for server outage. Though the reason has been posted in the server status page. The say it will open soon. probably in a few hours. May be some mod sees this post before it and lifts the suspension. Wait...

As leviathon said, there is text in not so appropriate place. The content is good. You can organize the content into a lesswide layout or maybe in a single column. People like all the width of a page to be showed at once. so that they only have to scroll down

I haven't seen the default index.html though, still I think you should delete the index.html file and then upload it again. There may be a problem when you uploaded that page.And you should make sure that there is no other index files in public_html directory (like index.php...
