Arghhh, what is the URL structure for my Domain folders

I don't know where I'm screwing up... I have a few directories under the PUBLIC_HTML directory. I used to be able to type in the URL... https://MyDomain.x10host.com/DIrectoryName and view the files in that directory. For some reason that doesn't work anymore. Any Thoughts??? Cheers, Len

Resolved Can I please get additional disk space?

Hi Anna, thanks for your reply. Sorry for my delayed reply, I moved homes during this period and have been very busy with that move. Actually the photos on my site are for public viewing. If the gallery is not linked to the landing page it is because I am not certain what you mean by that and...

Resolved Can I please get additional disk space?

My guess is that I am at 512Mb, is there a chance to get 1Gb? Please and thank you! BTW, when I FTP files, rather than indicating that I am out of disk space, I get a message that the file already exists. This was at first very confusing but I came to realize that it was a disk storage issue...

    Website URL gives 404 error

Well that worked a charm, thanks for that! I can see the files now. This is all smoke and mirrors for me at this point. If I wanted to limit viewing the contents, would I need a separate .htaccess file in each Directory? As well, how would I prevent someone from clicking on the "Parent...

    Website URL gives 404 error

Garrett, Thanks for the post. No, I am not using any rewrite rules in an .htaccess file; I don't even know what they are, LOL. The only line in the file is "Options +Indexes".

    Website URL gives 404 error

Anna, thank you... you are the best; you always come through with quick and excellent support. I was able to access my domain (http://lotuschaser.x10host.com) as well as get to a directory/folder under my website (http://lotuschaser.x10host.com/stuff). However, having said that, I am not able...

How to show file listing on webpage

Anna, thanks for your reply. This isn't for file sharing, as in music/movies... just random files. I have created the .htaccess file and it works perfectly. I would also like to incorporate a .htpasswd file but I am unclear as to how to structure the AuthUserFile path which designates the...

How to show file listing on webpage

thanks spacresx. I'm pretty certain that at one time 'directory listing' was the default display if there was no index.xxx file. At some point in time that seems to have changed.

How to show file listing on webpage

I would like to upload a bunch of files to a folder and have a friend view a listing of the filenames by keying in the appropriate URL, for example http://domainname.x10host.com/project_files Is this a permissions thing or is it not possible to do?

Resolved DOH!!! Seems my account went dormant :(

Hey Anna, Thank you very much for looking into this. I am now able to FTP files and get into my CPANEL. I'm still having issues getting a webpage setup; I uploaded a 'Hello World' index.html but it just lists the contents of the file rather than displaying the "Hello World". I'll check the...
