I dont like either - McAfee gives you tons of spam you dont want (i.e, Hundreds of unnessary notifications and popups, browser redirects that you dont want and generally makes your pc look ugly and slow.) I always opt for AVG it doesnt slow the pc down but at the same time it takes it forever...

Well i use Windows Media Encoder - my sound card is ancient so it wont pick it up but it streams high quality objects, either by pushing or pulling to a server. It can also stream videos. If that answers your question ^^ - it also backs up as it streams so there is a copy of what its done.
