I've not bought CPanel. (And I don't want to buy it.) I'm just not sure what the NS boxes are actually for, as surely you would set up the nameservers to use for your domain, not for the server itself. EDIT: Gone over your last post and just realised you think I am not a VPS user and am posting...

I am going to be using a domain provider that have their own nameservers, so they'll do the DNS for the domain. What should I put in these boxes when buying the server. What would I do if I bought a domain from X10? Would I have to install and configure bind?

Its working for me now, but it wasn't DNS caching, as using dig with the x10hosting Nameserver got no record without www. Edit: Its gone again :(

You can have more than one application on a database, You just need a separate table prefix. If you are writing your own PHP programs which use mysql, write them with a user configurable table prefix.

I use OpenDNS ( http://www.opendns.org/ ) ,but, for other people it was out as well. (Thats how I found out it was broken, I had a PHP program connecting to a server, and people started getting lookup errors, I did a cachecheck on the site, and it changed to "DOES NOT RESOLVE".
