    Chopin

It seems to be working again. :) I just hope it's not a regular thing now (especially now that X10 is supposed to be on faster servers?).

    Convert compensation

I totally agree. If you want to switch early that's your responsibility. Plus, if X10 starts paying out other contracts, one could easily make quite a nice scam out of this.

    x10Hosting Double Everything Special!

Great offer, even though it is not for me (I currently use 2.8MB :p).

    Chopin

Yep, I have the exact same problem. It was working yesterday but not today. Edit: Hmm, I think it's an overall problem with chopin, since I can't really get to it at all now (it's EXTREMELY slow).

    My Nature photography site

I also agree with the others about the red line...what is its purpose there? But great pictures!

    Changing database password

Well, backing up a database is always a good idea, I guess. I shall do that anyways. I had hoped to learn how to set up cron jobs for this so that I get an email once a week with the backup, but I had no time so far so I'll do it by hand. Thank you guys for your replies!

    Changing database password

Thanks. I was thinking about this, but thought I'd ask first if there is no other way.

    Changing database password

Hi, today I lost my USB stick that had a mirror of my website on it. Most passwords were encrypted, but the configuration file for the database connection was obviously not, so now I would like to change it. Problem is, I don't see anywhere where I can do this. :dunno: Thank you in advance!

[MySQL] Getting 1st element of list

Ups, sorry. I was writing this at the bus station, so I was a little bit in a hurry. Yes, but it's nitem. ;) Hmm, SELECT nitem FROM news ORDER BY nitem ASC LIMIT 10, 3 Returns an empty result. :happysad: Here is what I currently have: SELECT nitem FROM news WHERE cat = 'f' AND nitem...

ROLL_OVER or CLICK - your opinion wanted!

So I guess it's the "CLICK" option then. Any other suggestions?

[MySQL] Getting 1st element of list

Thanks guys, I have looked into pagination and while there is plenty of stuff out there, it is a little too much for what I'm trying to do. Additionally, most solutions require getting ALL news entries, which is exactly what I wanted to avoid. ;) @mission: Here is what I was thinking (but...

[MySQL] Getting 1st element of list

Hi, I would like to allow visitors of my website to "turn the page" where there are n news items per page. Implementing the "Next " button/link is easy, but I struggle to get the "Previous" button/link to work. Here is an example with 3 items per page: news item # (nitem FROM news) ... 16...

    Review my site

Looks nice, I especially like the little loading animation with the dots. Only problem I see is that if the width is too small, the menus get messed up a little.

ROLL_OVER or CLICK - your opinion wanted!

Thanks you guys so far for your input!!! The vote is 50/50 right now - I really don't know what to do. I agree that the rollover is more fun, but otoh I think it is annoying that if you go down, your mouse isn't really on the next item anymore (because the previouse element was closed and the...

    My Webpage

Looks okay, but I would definitely resize the picture on the frontpage to fix the aspect ratio. ;)

Argh, hold on... I have not even uploaded the two examples yet!

ROLL_OVER or CLICK - your opinion wanted!

Hi, I've gone through a lot of trouble to create my own expanding side menu with Flash, but now that I am almost done I am not sure that ROLL_OVER is the way to go. :happysad: The first link is the menu with ROLL_OVER, the second one requires you to actually click on the items: This is the...

    FTP problems

Ahh, good to know. Of course, as luck will have it, I'm on Chopin (one of the two that still has issues). :happysad:
