    What's your web design environment?

Same with Nautilus in Gnome. That's one thing I really miss in Windows 7: tight integration for remote file management via FTP and SSH. Nautilus lets virtually any GTK+-based application treat remote files like local ones; it's incredibly useful. --- Mr. DOS

    What's your web design environment?

Hurrah, repeated thread necromancy! :P Language-wise, I use PHP/MySQL backends with XHTML/CSS frontends. When JavaScript is necessary, I haul out jQuery. I've used Flash in a couple places, but I try to avoid it wherever and whenever possible. My code is organized in Subversion repositories...

Can we install any t3rd party app?

I'm pretty sure the free hosting environments do not have Java installed, so you will not be able to use SmartFoxServer. You can run almost anything written in PHP or ASP(.NET), though, as long as it does not exceed your bandwidth or space quota or consume unreasonable amounts of CPU time...

    Corrupt a Wish (Season 1)!

Granted, but your functional jurisdiction is limited to a rather drab flat in Southampton, England and you can only manipulate a ±π³-minute window. (That's pi in case it shows up as small for you as it does me.) I wish I could play guitar better. --- Mr. DOS

I've never played either, but I have a friend into cars and whatnot who's been absolutely raving about Forza 3. Apparently, the physics are extremely impressive. --- Mr. DOS

how do I set up PHP, do I have to do that?

Your local webserver was probably configured to parse .htm and .html files with PHP as well as .php files; most "production" servers don't do this for performance reasons: assuming .htm and .html files are purely static or at least, only have SSI's, saves a lot of CPU cycles. --- Mr. DOS

php mail contact form?? plz help

Guys... he already has a script - one that comes with RapidWeaver. He needs to know what he needs to enable for it to work, the answer being "probably nothing". This is the wrong category, though; it should be in Scripts & 3rd Party Apps. --- Mr. DOS

Windows 7 - Better or Worse? Your oppinions please?!?

If you're having no problems with Vista, the thing to consider is whether or not 7's new features hold any appeal to you. If they don't, then don't upgrade just for the sake of upgrading - given the price of a Windows 7 upgrade, it's hard to justify that. The exception would be if you qualify...
