I just confirmed today that the firmware files are free to redistribute by e-mailing the manufacturer. So is it okay to upload them on my site?

yes they are android firmware files, so they are free to distribute and modify.. many people upload them it their homepages... I've searched the manufacturer's website, there is nothing that says don't re-distribute the files.
