2,222 credits - Menu Bar Design

I really couldn't think of a menu bar for one of my website designs, so I ripped it off another site (temporarily :biggrin Now I need one of you guys to design a new one. :happysad:

The menu bar needs to be:
around 139px wide.

Javascript can be included to add affect such as expanding (e.g to get more links related to a category), BUT you cannot make the menu bar rely on javascript to work.
I would actually kind of like some sort of expansion :biggrin:

The menu bar must fit in with the feel and the colour of the rest of the site design.

EDIT: I dont think i made this clear, by menu bar i mean the sidebar on the LEFT hand side of the page. Sorry about that.

You haven't exactly given us an idea of what you want in the menu.

What is the height, design and orientation you prefer?

Do you need sub categories?

Do you want any effects?

Do you want it in flash or HTML?

Well I am not sure if I am was in a rush that day, or you edited your post, but as I reread it I got the details I needed. I have one more question before I decide to take the job:

What is the behavior you want of the menu when JavaScript is turned off? Do you want it to display expanded or contracted.

If javascript is turned off make the menu expanded.

Remember its got to replace the menu bar on the LEFT HAND SIDE
