1.a step by step process of uploading the PhpBB3 full package that you downloaded off of the site and then uploading it to x10hosting and installing it...

Because I realized when you go to Fantastico deluxe it starts it off from scratch a new phpbb and i want the one i downloaded to be used ( I added personal avatars to the folders that I wanted on the site )

( I don't know if this helps but I uploaded my "downloaded" phpbb3 to public ftp via web disk

2. If i can't do that, how do I go about adding avatars to the new phpbb that Fantastico makes?

1. public_ftp? Upload phpBB3 to public_html, otherwise no one will be able to see it, and x10Hosting doesn't allow Anonymous FTP. So, upload to /public_html . Got it? You have to install it next, so go to http://yourwebsite.x10subdomain.XXX/install/

2. Please consider using phpBB3, because Fantastico only installs phpBB2, which is no longer really supported.

Actually it installs phpBB3 although the title is messed up.
So don't worry about using Fantastico; I've used it many times and it is very easy and does things quickly.

first open phpbb3 inside you will see another folder.
rename that to public_html.
zip it back up.
upload to /home/your info here.
right click and extract to /home/your info/public_html

install: yoursite.com/install

if you want to just upload images to an already installed cms. go to file manager and depending on where images are open that folder then click upload and there you go.
