Whenever I try to link or post an image to another site now on my forums, it just goes and says "403 error"
This is getting really annoying but I found something about putting

SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

in .htaccess but that gives me a 500 internal server error and using

<IfModule mod_security.c>

SecFilterEngine Off
SecFilterScanPOST Off

</IfModule>

still gives me the same 403 error
how do I fix this?

x10hosting runs [ ModSecurity 2 ] - which ignores any and all attempts to modify/disable rules in .htaccess

Well that sucks.
Also it's only some links but still annoying.
I ended up manually editing the post with phpMyAdmin so it's partially solved-ish.
Wish I could turn it off

When you consider that the whole point is to not only protect your account from random malicious users but to keep x10Hosting's servers off of blacklists, etc., due to the actions of malicious or incompetent account holders, allowing account holders to do an end-run around the security measures would be defeating the purpose.
