403 Error

So my website gives me this error and all I uploaded was a js file.
After I removed it, the error remains. I can still access cPanel and ftp, but i don't know what's wrong.

check the permissions on your public_html folder and the files/folders in there.

Upload a index.html page.

I believe it has to do with the .htaccess file. If "Indexing" is turned off and there is no "home page", you will get a 403 if you do not request a specific file.

EDIT: Do you have an index.php page? I do get a 403 there but a 404 on index.html.
