Hi I'm getting the 500 Internal Error Message when I'm accessing my site. I've read some other posts regarding this problem and can't seem to locate my .htacess file. Is it under public_html? Also I've changed all my folders to 755. Am I missing anything else? :frown:

The thing is, sometimes I can access my site but I get the error message 1 in every 2 links in my site I go to.

site is: http://www.ladymagnifique.co.cc

thanks for your help in advance

Hi,
Your site with pink coloured theme written "Welcome to Lady Magnifique Shop" is working perfectly.
I suspect that what all you have missed is to flush dns on your pc and clear the browser cache.
Also I doubt this kind of things happen to those who use mozilla firefox.I feel Google Chrome is a bit better.

thanks for your reply! :)

not sure what you mean by "flush dns" though :( and i've tried browsing with safari, google chrome and firefox, sometimes it works but after a few pages, the 500 internal error will appear again :S

Am I meant to use .htaccess for x10 hosting? I'm using Prestashop for my website and there's an option of generating .htaccess. Should I use that?

Hello,

Does this error only appear sometimes on a page (e.g. you see a page that gives you a 500 Internal Server Error, and you hit the refresh button a whole bunch of times, and it works some of the time but doesn't work other times), or does it happen constantly (hitting refresh doesn't change it)?

Hi Skizzerz,
Thanks for the reply!

It's the first option, error only appear sometimes on a page and when i refresh it, it works again. But it's a pain in the ass, because if a customer was going through the checkout process, refreshing the page might cause some payment errors ie deducting money twice or something. Also, it's very annoying having to refresh pages over and over again
