500 Internal Server Error on site on Chopin

It seems as though I'm randomly getting 500 Internal Server Errors on my site on Chopin (it also seems to be going slower than it did earlier today). Is there something wrong with Chopin?

Had a higher up check on IRC; some of your files had 777 perms, which for security is -bad-. They set them to 644 and the errors went away; folders should be 755 and files 644. Not sure when they got changed, but that seems to have fixed it

Thanks! Not sure how they got set to 777 though. I don't think I did that lol.

Though upon checking my site, the 500 error is still popping up randomly :-\

Anywhere. It's random. Sometimes when I load a page, it's fine. Other times, it just 500's
