500 Internal Server Error - Requesting PHP Upgrade From "Basic" to "Intermediate"

Dear Sir/Madam,

I'm currently hosting a forum using phpBB3. Currently I am constantly getting 500 Internal Server Error when I am accessing the forums, after searching around on the x10 Hosting Forums it seems that I would require a PHP Upgrade. I would therfore like to please request this upgrade.

The posts that talk about upgrading your PHP are old and out of date.
All free hosting accounts have the same level of PHP, which is sufficient to run most popular scripts.

500 errors: .php files must not be group/world writeable. That is, they cannot have permissions set to 0777 or 0666 . They should be set to 0644 or 0755 or you will get 500 errors.

If your script uses .htaccess file for url rewriting, etc, you must have

RewriteBase /

before any RewriteRule
