500 Internal Server Error using .htaccess and .htpasswd?

Hello,
I've been having trouble making this directory on my website at http://loudrobloxmusic.ml/list/ password-protected. I set up the .htaccess and .htpasswd files and checked them multiple times if there are any typos or mistakes, and it gives me this error every time I log in with correct user/password credentials;

Internal Server Error

The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator at support@x10hosting.com to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.

More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

remove what you did

then on the [ cPanel-x3 ] theme (not x10hosting Basic) "Home" page click on [ Password Protect Directories ]

select the folder and set your login information
