Hi

I have just uploaded a directory containing some databaseless blog software. When I try to go to the setup page it gives me the 500 error. This has never happened before and doesn't happen to any of the other sections of my site. I tried to look at the logs through cPanel, but the box where it says they should be is empty. If anyone could help explain this behavior it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Please check the permissions on your website. No files or directories should have anything higher than 755 or 644 (if you have something like 777 or 666, you can change this in the cPanel file manager or FTP to be either 755 or 644).

That was the problem, but I had tried to fix it before. File Manager said the files were all 755 but then when I checked later they were all 000, which was really weird. Thanks for helping!
