Hi.

I would appreciate any suggestions on how I can sort this out.

Finally succeeded in amending the file .htaccess as per instructions for Creating A Network detailed on http://codex.wordpress.org/Create_A_Network. However, this has caused another problem.

Once the file was uploaded to my website, I updated the network via the WordPress Dashboard. I then tried to view my website and got the \'500 Internal Server Error\' message.

I have restored the orginal version and updated the network, but the error still persists. Decided to upload the amended file again and leave it online.

Have tried emailing x10 Hosting at the email address detailed in error message, but received an automatic delivery failure notification.

The website is for my final year project at College and the deadline is looming. Very keen to sort this out as as soon as possible.

Thanks in advance.

1. All files should have permissions set to 0644 and directories set to 0755

2. If you post the current contents of the .htaccess file, we can help spot any problems.
