500 Internal Server Error ...

When I CHMOD my files and folders to 777, I get a "500 - Internal Server Error" on the page and in the server error logs, it sows the error "writeable by group". So does that mean i cannot CHMOD my files to 777?

What script are you trying to run, chances are it has a security feature to check for 777, in most cases 755 should be sufficient
