500 Internal Server Error

I uploaded all the required files to the server, but explorer gives me a 500 Internal Server Error. How do I solve this problem?

If you have a .htaccess file try renaming it to say htaccess.txt
the .htaccess file can cause issues if it has elements designed for apache 1 in it, which apache 2 doesnt support.
