500 internal server error

I am trying to add a SMF forum to my site, it installs fine but whenever I try to make a post it gives me the error. I went to SMF first and they said to contact the host. Hope you guys can help
Edit:
also I renamed the .htaccess file to .hwauwq but now I cant do anything on the forum and the .htaccess file keeps coming back

thanks, I put in my request now I guess I will have to wait to see if it works
Edit:
The forum still is not working. I installed the software on another free host and it workied so it isn't the software. I really want to host these forums here so what should I do at this point?
