Hello all, I really like the features this place, and host has, and I hope, once I develop my site, I can become quite a well known member here. you see, Im a programmer, and 3D Animation designer. And I was just trilled when I heard of all the awsome Bandwitdh and storge this host offers. Since games, and movies take up space.

But now Im wondering....

I noticed that it said something around: No file uploading, proxies, that allow other users to access accout,

does this mean I cant upload ZIP / RAR files???



Also, how long does it take to get the account info?

That means allowing the person visiting your website to upload files.

Account info might be a while - although the hosting is back on it's feet from the move fairly recently, the backend for the administrators is still being worked on. If memory serves, the signups are off until they get that fixed.

As for uploading zip/rar files, that's ok. What they mean by allowing others to access your account is sites like Rapidshare that allow a user to upload a file, then pass the link around to others so they can download the file, and anonymous ftp to let anyone access your account and upload what they want.

It's actually in place more to prevent someone from uploading porn or other questionable material to your account. It's a handy thing for them - having that rule basically nullifys the age-old argument of "my brother/ex/girlfriend/boyfriend/father/mother/sister did it," since you're the only one whose supposed to have access to the account

What about upload links? Although its rare I will do this, but what if a user uploads a link on his own FTP, I check it out, and its not porn, or any of that crap, and add the link to the site? Is this arlight? If not, I will simple upload them directly then!

So long as they aren't uploading it to your account and it's not in violation of x10's TOS you can link to it

Also, this is kind of worring me,

It said that if you dont add a site within a week, the account is suspended/deleted.

Will I get my account info within a week? So I can upload?

If you read the "News & Announcements" you'll see that the development staff is working on the backend, and new accounts are on hold for the moment.
When your account is created, you'll receive an e-mail with all the information you need to start your website.

And by a working site, an under construction page with ads is enough - anything aslong as we don't see a directory listing when we visit your site.

Well for me, a working site is one that works all the way, maybe some errors but it should be about done, with ads, but it all depends on the account manger that screens your account.

Alright. Would it be possible to get a possible date? Sometime next month...next week...ect.?

I think it might be somewhere in the near future, as they were aiming to ahve their system completed by the end of this week, however I don't know if that is for definate.

I think that you should keep coming back and checking to see if sign ups have been allowed.

Yeah, I will keep comming back. I will probably wait as long as Jan.6 however, I really cant wait too long before uploading the site and its content.

i would reccomend getting a little hosting account elsewhere until we are back up and then transfer it over here when you get an account
