I know it is a silly question but I have to ask it :
What is the 3rd party apps and examples and how do they work ?

3rd party apps would be anything from forums to galleries to content management systems
how they work? usually they are written in php, asp, aspx or some other language that is read by the web server which then outputs html code that is interpreted by your web browser to display the page

Just in addition. 3rd party apps are any sort of software that you can put onto your website, that are not directly run or created by x10hosting.
