I just drank a crap load of lemonade & other forms of liquid wake-up :p
Realizing my mistake, I'm changing this to a post about fan games.

Have you played any you enjoyed?

Are they all destined to be crap with the image of a beloved icon slapped on as a desperate ploy for attention?

When you have disorders that cause even the tiniest bit of sugar to set you off like a powder keg, yep.
The best, healthy, wake-up liquids are fresh natural juices.
Especially if you compliment them with caffeine. :p

Back on subject.

Are all fan games really poorly done games using an established property to boost popularity, or is it an illusion created by the fact that instead of being completely original, they "borrowed" characters and or settings from another property, one they have no creative investment in?

If a fan-game was a genre shattering (RPG, MORPG, FPS, TPS, RTS, 4X) title with original concepts and systems, could you overlook the borrowed content?
Would you even try said title?
