Hi,

I want to add park a domain name to my hosting account but can not change the nameservers due to other obligations. I pointed the A record to the x10hosting's shared IP address on my cpanel stats, but I am still not allowed to park the domain.

On the error it says :Using nameservers with the following IPs: 216.69.185.23,208.109.255.23 Sorry, the domain is already pointed to an IP address that does not appear to use DNS servers associated with this server. Please transfer the domain to this servers nameservers or have your administrator add one of its nameservers to /etc/ips.remotedns and make the proper A entries on that remote nameserver.

Could an administrator add my nameservers to the list? I have already made the proper A entries. Thanks.

Domain name?

That error message is saying that the nameservers you are using are not pointing your domain to x10hosting.

What I was trying to express was that I am not allowed to change the name servers of my domain name, and thus cannot point them toward x10hosting. I can however, change the A record toward the ip address of the server. However, because I used an A record, an administrator has to manually add the parked domain to the list in bold. That's why I highlighted the end of the sentence in bold. Hopefully this can clear up any confusion about my first post.

EDIT: Here is a similar issue although from a long time ago - http://x10hosting.com/forums/free-hosting/31749-dns-record-parked-domain-cpanel.html

The domain is: removed link

I pointed the A record toward 198.91.81.3 as it said that was the ip address in cpanel.

Well, your nameservers are pointing correctly.

Could you try to add the domain one more time?
