Hi! I have a registered domain in another company. When I wanted to change the DNS they asked me for an A-RECORD DNS. They don't have where to put Nameservers. I have looked around the X10hosting on C Panel but all I can find is the name servers (Nameserver 1 − ns1.x10hosting.com and Nameserver 2 − ns2.x10hosting.com).

How can I set up the A-RECORD?

How about SPF and TXT? Is that necessary for mail?

Thank you very much in advance.

You can't set up an A record, we require that the name servers are set to verify ownership of the domain you are adding. Trying to add the domain without the name servers will lead to an error.

I suggest you contact the registrar and ask about the option to set NS, it is sometimes a little more hidden then the regular A-record option is.

Hi Anna,

What a quick response!

The panel is very simple and all the DNS options that I have (actually, quite a few) are:
A-Record
AAAA-Record
MX-Record

SPF y TXT record
SRV-Record
Dynamic DNS

But when I enter every option there is not the typical NAME SERVER 1, 2, 3 and 4 like in any other domain seller that I have worked with... Is there anything I'm missing here? :banghead:

Thanks again for your help!

Talk to Support at your domain registrar. How do you expect us to know where things are located there?

Thank you again for your answer.

Of course, I am not expecting you to know where things are located there. I showed you the only 6 options. Contacting support they said the options are:

A-Record
AAAA-Record
MX-Record
SPF y TXT record
SRV-Record
Dynamic DNS

They do not have an option for NS, being the closest the A-Record and the AAAA-Record. In most hosting providers they tell you: "you might tell your registrer that your a-record is: xxx.xx.xx.xxx". I haven't found the equivalente in X10hosting.com.

So my question is: where could I find that information in X10hosting? Thank you.

Might I suggest you read Anna's answer again. Especially the part that says that you can't use A-records.
