Let's say I got this domain: gen.glitterblast.com *I don't want to host the whole site, only the gen subdomain of the domain* What should I do in order for x10hosting.com to host it?

Ok, I have done this:
I went to my domain registrar and clicked the DSN management link. There's an A Record option.... look below:

Name should be: gen
What about the IPv4 Address?

And should it work if I do that? Would x10hosting.com be hosting gen.glitterblast.com? Please help, thanks.

You should be able to just create an NS record to point to ns1.x10hosting.com and ns2.x10hosting.com; you shouldn't need to make A records and MX records manually.
