A simple non-rude question

I have been disappointed with the quality of hosting here. I understand this is free, so please don't flame me. I can't afford to pay for better hosting at this point.

Anyway, there is a lot of times my site is not accessible but ftp and cpanel still work. I know there have been changes to mysql, so I would like to know if there is maintainance that is causing this and how much longer do you think it will be lasting? If it's temporary because of problems or something, that's fine and perfectly understandable.

OK I'll see if I can help you here LOL.

Over the last few weeks there have been major upgrades to all the hosting servers and this has been causing a few problems. I have hosting here myself and also have a background in IT.

I can tell you that any server upgrades, no matter how minor will attract the properties of Murphy's Law 'Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong' so all I can say is ride out the problems, they will be sorted out and staff are working around the clock to fix all these little bug's that occur.

Just try and forget about it and I promise you that the service will be well worth the wait and you will be really happy (as will I) with the improvements that have been made.

right its free hosting there doing upgrades and stuff for our benfit no one can say its gonna be this long coz u don't no the type of problems you come up agaist or anything so just be paitent and wait

just to throw in my 2 cents, i haven't had a x10hosting account for very long, but i have done a fair bit of web development, and i'll just say this:
the services they offer for the price and ad requirement is top notch, to my experience, the best available on the internet.
i'll agree the services have been a little on the sketchy side recently, but i understand the complexities and wtf's! involved with this kind of work and the staff of x10 seem to be very knowledgeable and hard working. furthermore, the issues we have been experiencing recently are very limited and also won't last long as they are related to server move/change/upgrade/whatever else. i don't think this will be a recurring problem.
