About Safemode

Just wanted to ask about safe mode, and if it is possible to enable it. I am not entirely sure what it does but every configuration of php that i have ever run i have always had it on. I have done a search and the closest I got was that Corey was trying to see if there was a way to make it availabe for the user to switch it on or off.

also wanted to ask if it was appropriate to link in the forum or if you prefer just having the link

Its not that i need it, its just that I don't know why its off, or what it actually does and how this affects scripts, what I do know is that php.net recommends that it be turned on.

anyway sorry if am saying something stupid its just that I don't Know

You would want it to be off over being on. Having it on will severely restrict what you can do.

It is off on all servers.
