Dear Sir

I get the error message:

Quote

Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'josnor59_vivek'@'lotus.x10hosting.com' (using password: YES) in /home/josnor59/public_html/ConnectDB.php on line 7
Access denied for user 'josnor59_vivek'@'lotus.x10hosting.com' (using password: YES)

Unquote

I have all permissions to access the database. I have suddenly started getting the message. Kindly look into the matter.

Thanks and regards

Vivek

If you are trying to remotely connect to MySQL, x10 do not support it on free accounts. Ensure you are using localhost as the host name when setting up any software on your website.

Has it worked before?

STP, I'm not trying to step on toes, but my free account requires I connect to a remote SQL server for DB's. Could it be that he used localhost instead of the connection URL given in his cpanel?

Yeah, it could be-well pointed out.

It seems I wasn't clear enough-I meant to ensure he is using localhost becuase there are some threads on here where people are using the actual path to mysql (as was in the error string) as their hostname.

So, I'll try again.....ensure you are using localhost as your hostname when setting up site software, not the actual path to MySQL listed in the error string you posted.

Better?? :)
