Account lock due to 'Phishing'

After receiving many emails purportedly concerning mail account changes on x10hosting with a obfuscated link to some other site, some mails were flagged by SpamCop and reports filed.

Now my account on x10hosting has been suspended: "Phishing do not unsuspend".

I only use the mail account for personal email and doubt that I've sent more than 5 or 6 since starting in January.

How can I resolve this issue? Any help gratefully received...

If your have any sort of evidence that you were not phishing, then you can dispute it with the administration and they will possibly unsuspend your account. That is why the 48 hour waiting period is put in place. Otherwise, your account will be terminated.

Hi Twinkie,

I'm not that techy but shouldn't that be evident if they read the SpamCop report correctly - especially as the report originates from me!

FYI the emails I was getting were addressed as coming from "no-repy", "support" etc. @myaddress.com

I looked on Spamcop but could not see any way to retrieve the full reports!

Where can I go for help now?

Let me escalate the issue to staff, seeming as you have an actual dispute.

Re-escalating as it doesn't appear to have escalated properly.

Also as a quick note, the suspension reason is...Odd. It's not an automatic suspension reason which goes something like "Phishing site detected on account," this is one of few I've seen say "do not unsuspend." All the others tagged "do not unsuspend" were ones that were manually suspended, so my guess is staff already checked into this.

Still escalating though; might've been a misunderstanding and at least this way you'll know for sure one way or the other.
