Account Suspension Help

Hi,

My hosting account was suspended on the 13th of this month. I immediately filed an appeal to try to get the suspension lifted. By the 17th, I still had not received a response to my appeal, so I filed another one in case it somehow got lost or something. It is now the 19th and I have not received a response to either appeal.

From what I think I understand, it is volunteers that go through the appeals. I get that they have limited time, so if my appeals just have not been processed yet then that's ok, I understand. I've read though that the turnaround time is generally 48 hours, and it's been about six days now since my first appeal without any response, which is why I'm posting here.

If someone could help me out here, I would greatly appreciate it.

Also: I'm not sure if my forum account is linked to my hosting account (I checked the email in my settings here and it's the same email, so I think it is), but in case it's not, the email for the hosting account is "nflfanatic49@gmail.com".

ericharv is the Forum account linked to that email account.

Volunteers do the unsuspensions for things like Inactivity.

For appeals sent through the Account Panel, they are handled by Admins. You were suspended by Corey (the boss) and so you will have to be unsuspended by a higher up, ie Admin/Staff, not a volunteer.

There's no disputes currently pending; I get through them in under 24 hours in most cases, I'm going back through to locate where this particular one is, since it's in Answered.

Edit #1: Pinging an admin for assistance; I'm not showing a dispute ever having been opened. In the mean time, this is one that isn't permanent - the wiki on your account looks to be heavily compromised, and has been subjected to spam bots registering and posting their own spammy content. This would need to be cleaned up and the bots prevented from posting/registering in the future. There's also an OwnCloud install that would need to be erased before I can lift the suspension as it's considered file hosting software (I can clear it, but I don't want to do so without you knowing it'd be erased).

Hmm, that's strange; I've filed two appeals, but after sending one each time my account never says anything about them, it just tells me to file another one. Is that what's supposed to happen?

I'll disable registration on the wiki. As for owncloud, that can definitely be erased. I don't actually use it; I just installed it to see how it worked. I haven't used the wiki in a while (I pretty much just set that up and left it, which is probably why I didn't notice anything). I'll disable registration immediately though, and may even just take down the wiki since I don't use it

Yeah something's not working right when you're submitting the appeal; it's supposed to show the current appeal pending as opposed to telling you to file another. I've notified the admin team of this so they can do some investigation into why exactly it's not working, particularly since it is for other users.

In the mean time, the suspension should be lifted in about 5 minutes or less, and may be done by the time this reply posts. I've removed the OwnCloud install, so all that's left is to clean up the wiki and re-secure it. Removing it isn't a bad option, particularly if you're not using it since it's just another route for the account to get compromised/spammed.
