Account taken, Account doesn't exist, Can't login, Domain created - wtf?

i received two error emails:

This email is being sent to notify you that the hosting account that you have signed up for has not been created, due to an error which occurred during the creation process.

The error that occurred was:

Whm error: sorry that username (MY USERNAME) is taken. check /etc/passwd (code create_1)​

The error that occurred can most likely be resolved by signing up again for a hosting account here: http://x10hosting.com/hosting/signup

if i try to login i receive the following error message:

An Error Has OccurredThe username specified does not exist.

but my domain offbeat.x10hosting.com was created anyways, so i cant redo the sign up process with a different username because my domain is now used by a not existing account - yay. and i dont want any other doman beside x10hosting.com

also it already took around a week for my domain to be up, ready to login. though i cant
