I see that a large portion of your used space is backups, those should not be stored on site, as technically they fall under file storage with not being part of the site (as in part of what is viewed). I'd recommend that you download them to your local computer, as in case of something happens to your account they really don't help you if they are stored in your account. At most you should have the 5 most recent in the account (of course with a copy downloaded as well).
The backups add up to nearly half of the space used in your account.

removed the following zip files:
1 2013-09-06_before_PrettyUrls1.tar.gz in public_html
2 FreiChat.V.9.3.zip in public_html
3 sp.zip

There are some other .zip files present in the Packages folder
They are itself important for the working of the forum because they consist of mod files which are important for features like Portal, Social Network, Gallery, Downloads section and many other things
They can't be removed and if removed, the site will be damaged completely

Disk Space Usage =
577.34 / 1,024 MB = 56.38%

Been meaning to ask about that. The "Downloads" and "Gallery" sections appear to allow forum users (not just the site owner) to upload files for distribution. Since that would be contrary to the ToS, exactly how does that work?

Looks like you misunderstood me
Firstly let me brief up about my forum
We make custom roms for different operating systems like android, bada (a samsung operating system) for mobiles
Bada is our speciality or you can say, field of expertise
So, we mostly discuss about Bada, post stuff related with it, share it with each other
The downloads section is meant so that the users can directly post their themes there
This will make it easier for forum users to just download the themes directly from one place
These themes are created by our users themselves or by the people who give others permissions to share them with others
Still no themes have been posted in the Downloads section till yet, you can even check it urself
As per the gallery is concerned, it is a place where users can post wallpapers for their phones and these are not for personal use but for the use of the entire forum community
I think this is not against the Terms of Service
I think I have made myself clear. Still if you doubt that I have made a mistake somewhere, please tell me and I will be only obliged to correct it

Best Regards

I don't make the decisions, but I did point out that allowing your forum users to upload files for distribution doesn't fall within the ToS. You (the account holder) are personally allowed to host files that you created for download (provided that they are related to your site in a way described in the ToS).

Thats what I stated above
We have themes which are related with Bada, Android and other operating systems
They are made by the users themselves
All these themes are related to our site itself
Our aim is to make the daily smartphone and PC usage of people better
We dont charge anything for this
To fulfill this aim we make custom roms, make themes and upload them
Anyone can use them.
Hence, to conclude, all the files that exist on my website are related with the site
Still, if you feel that I have not justified myself or answered your concerns, please oblige me by posting them and I will be very happy in answering them

Best Regards

I believe what he is saying, is that you should only be hosting related files for users to download, if you are the one who makes them. Would it be at all possible to use an external file hosting service and just provide links to the download page, or if allowed by the external file host, a direct link to the download?

Indeed. It's the uploads that are a problem; you can't run what is essentially a file-sharing site for your users.

If you will see clearly we only upload the themes made by our users. Also, the custom roms which are made by our team of developers, more than 100 MB in size, are not uploaded on the x10 servers but on file sharing sites like mediafire. We don't intend to, and don't even allow our users, to upload anything bulky and even if they just want to upload an image they are asked to do so on postimage.org, an images hosting site. We could have made it easier for our users to just upload them on our website but I understand the importance of the resources I am using and hence, I have refrained the users from doing so. We also have moderators which look after the same.
If we want to share something not related with our forum, we just create a new topic and post the link
That is how it works

Best Regards

I still see over 200 mb worth of backups in your account, under: Packages/backups.

As for the packages, once you have them installed properly, the zip files would not be of any use by the site, at least that is how they always worked with the scripts I have been using over the years. They do however not add up to much usage in themselves.
