Sorry for a probably stupid question, but I cannot search an answer as the words Ad and See are too small :lol:

I have pasted the ad code, copied as given, into several pages and can see no evidence that it is there when I view the result. The most recent attempt is the bottom of my index.html using the plain-jane html editor in cPanel file manager, and still nothing. Is there some secret I don't know?

refugeebay.pcriot.com - it's the only page there (except the original saved as original_index.html

Account Username:pgiraffe

Primary Domain:http://refugeebay.pcriot.com

cPanel URL:http://refugeebay.pcriot.com:2082

Hosting Type:Ad-Enhanced

Advertisements:Required - Text Link

Thanks.

Well for your site you will need the advanced ad-code. You can use the personal ad-code as well but it must have the advanced as well.

I would suggest trying the advanced ad code and see if that works.

Ok, I inserted 2 rows and pasted the advanced code in a new row, and now the bottom looks like this in html:
<tr>
<td>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://x10hosting.com/adserve.js?PGiraffe"></script><br />
</td></tr>
<tr valign="top">
<td>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://x10hosting.com/adserve.js?advanced"></script>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
</td></tr>
<tr valign="top">
<td>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
</td></tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>
</body>
</html>

I still see nothing on the reloaded page in that area.

I found you suggestion interesting as http://x10hosting.com/account/ads says "Personal Advertisement Code This code is directly linked to your hosting account, it will allow you to accumulate and track adviews and clicks for your account. We always recommend the use of this ad code." emphasis mine.

Any other suggestions? I supposed it was probably some <script> tag I was missing, or it only works in a <footer> or something. I do not speak HTML, though I can puzzle a good bit of it out.

I see the advanced ad code. I will have to see why the personal ad code isn't working.

Here is what you should see accounting in the Free Online Encyclopedia – Click Here

If you have an ad-blocker that would also block you from seeing the ad.

Ah, I shall have to look through my Firefox settings and see if I can find the block. There's a stupid prize for me...

Will you let me know the results on the personal ad code please? Thanks.
Edit:
Ok, the personal code is working.

For adblock plus the correct filter to add that unblocked it is:
@@|http://x10hosting.com/*/ajs.php?
in case anyone else needs the info

Thanks for your help with a stupid (I knew it had to be stupid) question!!
