I've seen this all around! Forums you can have your adsense banner on your first post in your own topic. And what I understand it isn't breaking the google TOS. I've readed the TOS twice without finding anything about it.

Yes, you can have it. As long as your forums itself is something that google doesn't not disapprove of.

I don't mean my forum... Then I wouldn't post it here. I mean this forum. X10s forum. Maybe a "half banner" in your own sig or something.
