adding another domain

how do I register a new domain? . . I already have one on this account but would like to add another/ cheers

You can either part it or set it as a addon domain.

A parked domain will show the same domain as your current domain.
A addon domain gets its own folders for files.

You can. Just set it as a addon or parked domain in cPanel.

I mean e.g. could I have both:

www.example.com
www.second.co.uk

that aren't redirected so they stay in the URL address bar as their individual domains?

.. .. maybe I've done it but my second domain isn't showing in the parked domain area of cPanel so I cannot control what page is displayed (currently the same index as my other domain)

also can I get a slight delay on a redirection?

If you want it to be a separate site on the same account you'll want to use an add-on domain and not parked.

If you're using parked you can not add the delay, you'd have to add a META redirect to do a delay.
