Adding Google Friend Connect to Joomla

Has anyone successfully installed Google Friend Connect in Joomla!?

These are the instructions from the website:

* Step 1: Install Module + Plugin "Google Friend Connect"
* Step 2: Go to Google Friend Connect official and press [Sign in] button
* Step 3: Press "Setup a new site" and press Friend Connect for standard web sites
* Step 4: Type "Site name" and "Home URL"
* Step 5: Download 2 files "rpc_relay.html" and "canvas.html" and upload them to your hosting.

I can do 1-4, but I don't know where to get the 2 files in step 5. Any ideas?

Edit: Sorry, I forgot to include the answer. The link I gave also has a link to that supports the answer.

Answer- You don't need those files anymore. There's been an ongoing problem with the ability to update or refresh those files, so they eliminated the need for the files at all.

I read that link, it only says that the documentation is outdated.

The documentation is very vague, I got the code, which I am supposed to insert into "my file"... which file? Joomla has a zillion files!

Where in your site do you want to place your gadget? The starting page? Or another page?

Could you post a link to your site? It could help us both figure this out.

There's an error message that the configuration is wrong. I tried both of these:

both produce the same misconfiguration error

I'm sorry, but I need a little clarification. Did you try the same code snippet for both urls or did you get another code snippet for the other url to try?

Edit: AHA! I've found some instructions on how to put this into your Joomla site! http://www.goodwebpractices.com/joomla/google-friend-connect-in-joomla.html Just scroll down a little bit and you'll see the instructions. Let me know if it works.

Google asks for three pieces of information, I tried both of these

Site name: Manolo Fernandez soccer site
Home URL: http://www.manolofernandez.com/
Site Language: Automatic

Site Language: Automatic

In my site I enabled the module to PUBLIC mode. Website Id and Div Id get populated automatically at setup time. I setup the scope to ENTIRE SITE.

Get a different snippet for this one and add a / after soccer. I hope this works.

calistoy, thanks for your help. I am going to uninstall the module and try something else. All that I want is to allow users to leave comments on all of my pages. Google friend connect promised to do that, and much more, but I failed to install it.
