Additional storage space request.

Hi,
Would it be possible to have 10GB of storage space on my free account?
I'd like to host a website on x10, but it needs a little under 10GB, which isn't possible with my current 512MB.

An immediate increase to 10 GB will not be possible. However, you can regularly request an increase when using at least 75% of your current allotment.

Hello,
I'm trying to restore the website, but the backup files are too big for my current allowance. I've uploaded the first file and am using 217MB/512MB. The next file is just over 600MB and fails to upload.
I appreciate I'm not at 75%, but I'd be grateful if you could increase my storage space to allow the next file upload.

80% of your strorage is being used by ; 1.2G wpvividbackups

This type of storage does not work as your allocation usage., You should remove backups and download them locally. Or if you wish to have backup retains on the sever itself minimize them so it works within your allocated space.

If you are attempting to upload an older restore from a previous install or other website, based on the size of the old website this space may not work.

Please let us know exactly what you are using these backup files for and the end goal for the service.

Thanks for your message.
I look after a website for a group of volunteers - unitysupportriders.org We provide support for on road charity events.
The website was originally setup by one of the volunteers on his own hosting account. He has given me limited access to his account so I can look after the website & emails.
Unfortunately, he has 'fallen out' with the committee and they are concerned that he may not renew the hosting account and we'll lose the website.
Therefore, I'm trying to setup a backup or 'mirror' of the site on my account here, so if the worst happens, we haven't lost everything!
I thought WPvivid's backup & restore plugin would do the job, but it gets around 50% through & then fails (but doesn't tell me why).

I'd be very grateful for any help or suggestions you might have.
