Addon and Sub Domains

I have added my main URL as an addon domain (.co.cc address) this in turn has created a sub domain (as the ftp/sub domain username) on my main x10hosting.com url.

My question is can I delete this sub-domain without interfering with my add-on domain, they both point to the same directory on the server?

I don't understand why the system has to setup a sub-domain for every domain name you add as an addon?

I don't believe you should delete the subdomain. However, a staff might be better knowledgeable for the reason why.

You can not remove the subdomain created when adding an add on domain. The system will give you this error if you do try:

Sorry, the subdomain namehere cannot be removed because it is linked to the addon domain namehere.co.cc. You must first remove the addon domain.
