Addon Domain

Why can I not create a new Addon Domain just because I have used all 3 sub domains? Shurley an Addon Domain is totally different to a subdomain yet it is still somehow eating into my sub domain allowance? Help!

There was a problem creating the addondomain. Show Details
Error from domain wrapper: Sorry, you have exceeded the maximum allowed subdomains.

I am using 3 out of 3 subdomains but 0 out of 3 addon domains.

An add-on domain works like a subdomain and will take up subdomain slots.

This is because add-on domains can be accessed in two ways:

http://(domainname folder name).(primary domain) and as http://(Addondomain)
