If you add addon domain, It automatically create a subdomain of main domain.

You added 3 addon domain, so 3 subdomains are created. If you need to create a subdomain you have to remove one addon domain or buy double all package. http://x10hosting.com/upgrade.php

Please excuse my ignorance but I don't know who u are.....admin phaps??? or just another member here ???

I want an answer from someone who can give me a proper answer. My hosting account panel gives me the
following status :-

Hosting Account Summary
Hosting Username my.......

Status : Unsuspended

Package :adfree-adfree

Creation Date December 4 at 5:43 am

Hosting Server chopin

Main Domain cowboys.exofire.net

Sub Domains : None

Parked Domains : None

Addon Domains : cowboys-international.co.cc

i-center.co.cc

go-2c.co.cc

Synchronization May 19 at 3:08 pm

.............................................................

SUB domains are ALWAYS seperate from Addons. Well, they most definately have been at my other
hosts anyway !! Note : above staus shows SUB DOMAINS as NONE.

As far as i am aware, wherever I have had sites hosted whether it be free or paid then a sub-dom
is seperate from and addon or parked !

Please advise urgently.
THX

Account Panel is little late, and this information is not updated. See this

cPanel shows 100 % accurate info. addon domain automatically create 1 subdomain and 1 FTP account when you add it.
See your FTP accounts, 3/5 ??? If you delete subdomain then your addon domain will not work properly.

Hi !

Thanks for your replies all !

It seems very strange and quite misleading that a addon domain is also treated as a sub despite not saying that when signing up ! Perhaps I have missed something in your TOS ??? The wording definately says Addon, Sub & Parked domains right ???

I believe this is how cPanel functions and not x10hosting specific. I've tried other cPanel web hosts and all work the same way. This is because there are two ways to access addon domains:

If your addon domain is mynewdomain.com and you name it (in cPanel) mynewdomain, you are able to access it through both mynewdomain.yourmaindomainhere.com as well as mynewdomain.com.

Thanks !

I understand what you say but ..... I have just logged into my account and the first thing I see is this .....

x10Hosting Network News
Some Updates»

First, the new adfree package:
Disk: Unmetered
BW: Unmetered
FTP Accounts: 3
Email Accounts: 3
Email Lists: 1
DBs: 2
Subdomains: 2
Parked Domains: 1
Addon Domains: 2

Note : Addon Domains =2 and Sub Domains=2

OK... Now I understand that they are treated as the same thing BUT it should be made very
clear such as in the picture (posted above) and in the update as shown here..........right ?
