Advertising codes. does there location matter

I have an advanced account and does it matter if i put the text link ads at the top or at the bottem

yes, i believe it should be on every visible page, and any one correct me if im wrong here but, i believe they should be placed where they are visible on the page without having to scroll down to see it.

Advanced Ads can be placed anywhere on the page, Corporate Ads must be placed without scrolling down.
