Please check the error logs-is there any file constantly appearing there? It may also be a good idea to look through the access logs for your site to see if there's an IP address that is constantly draining lots of data.
Does your site run wordpress? If so, disable all cache plugins, I believe a bad one is super cache, which causes a lot of issues.
