There are lots of free subdomain services out there, as well as .tk, and unfortunately, because they are free, they are commonly abused and used to create malicious sites.
.tk is not blacklisted in search, but these domains (even if they were purchased) are blocked from being used with the free Google Apps Standard.
It's unfortunate to the people using these services legitimately to create legitimate websites.
If you're serious about building a successful website, definitely consider getting yourself a full professional TLD and avoid these problems completely. With a TLD, any problems involving Google and blacklists are usually your own fault and not others, so you can control it.
