Hi, is there an alternate URL or port number I can use to logon to my Free x10hosting CPanel's account? The reason I asked is that at my workplace, HTTP port 2082 is blocked as most other "non-standard" ports.

What would work for me is a CPanel Logon URL that would allow me to use a standard HTTP port 80 or 443 (SSL).

Thank you.

Thanks Phil but when I tried to goto:
http://www.<yoursite>.x10hosting.com/cpanel

which I replaced <yoursite> with my appropriate site, it resolved back to port 2082 which is blocked by my work's firewall:
http://www.<yoursite>.x10hosting.com:2082/

Can anyone help?

Thank you.

Thanks again Phil for your quick reply... guess I'm out of luck eh?

Anyone else have any other suggestions?!? ... well other than the obvious to ask the admins at my work to open up TCP port 2082 which I am sure they will now allow.

Try sending Corey or Bryon or Richerd a PM just to make sure. Because you never know I might be incorrect.

Just a suggestions, but a mod_rewrite through htaccess would not work would it? becase it still has to receive the 2082 address. Mine doesn't work at school either, i will look for a work around tomorrow!

Even though it is most likely that it will be blocked along with 2082, you can access cPanel on a secure connenction through https://www.sitename.x10hosting.com:2083/

Hope it helps.

By the way, you can't access cPanel files through your regular FTP. cPanel is, according to server status in cPanel and guesswork, is on a different server which is accessed through your cPanel based account through ports 2082 and 2083. cPanel, since it is commercial for people like x10Hosting, can't be edited by you.
