Alternative Way to inset Ads

I was wondering if there is a alternative way to insert ADs into SMF because neither of the suggested ways to insert the ads codes work for me. So if any one could give me some advice that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hmm guess it must be harder then for other software because it seems phpbb3 and others have rather easy fixes for insert ad code...
